Anyone have loud chirps come from their Angel Care monitors?
We have the Angel Care baby monitor and love it. It has given us a lot of peace of mind with our first child. However, we have had two false alarms; no problem b/c it was good to know it wakes us up - the first time it went off I nearly ran through the walls trying to get to the crib; it scared the life out of me.
We have experienced a lot of random loud chirps of sound come from the monitors themselves. Not in a series or anything, just sitting there and the "CHIRP!" Maybe 30 mins or so later "CHIRP!" Then nothing for two hours, then "CHIRP!" Happens every now and then, but when it does, maybe 4 or 5 times in an evening.
Anyone else experience this??
Well, the false alarms could just have been Your Baby holding their breath. My 3 month old son has done that, and set his Angel care monitor off. Do you plug the monitors in or just use batteries? If you just use batteries, then it sounds like they need to be replaced. If not, the monitor will chirp if there has been no movement for 10 seconds, then the alarm will go off after 20 seconds. If that is the case, then your child could be holding their breath, or the pad needs to be readjusted. Also you can adjust the sensitivity of the pad, if that might be easier for you.
