Help with buying baby stuff - advice?
Hiya, I'm going to be a first time mum - due date 31st January 2009 and we have been looking at buying some baby stuff. My mum has said she would get me a pram/travel system and I have been looking at the Chicco trio enjoy evolution - £299 - £345. Also my lovely brother has said he would buy baby monitors for us and I have mostly decided on the BT Digital Baby monitor 150 - £69.99. Does anyone out there have either of these and can tell me reviews on them, if they are any good. I have searched for reviews online but am just looking for further opinions. All opinions appreciated. Also if anyone has any suggestions for similar items at similar price range that would be helpful. Many Thanks everybody. xxx
i had the trio chicco enjoy - just a slightly older model as my girls now 3 - but i got on with this really well. The thing i liked about it was that it was an umbrella style fold which was a god send for using on public transport as im only short and it wasnt too bulky for me. (i dont drive) and it was really sturdy! i walk everywhere and its was bumped down stairs and everything it was nice and easy to push and you could adjust the handles on it which was fab for my partner. the only reason we dont have it now is because we gave it to a family member after we'd finished with it but its still going strong! despite the battering it got from me!
the negative points id give about it is it doesn't fold with the pram/carry cot as this is hard case - so have to use the Car Seat while babys younger for buses or the pushchair as it does recline fully so you can use from birth. I work in a baby shop now and i still enjoy selling the chicco enjoy. if you have chance have a look in store at retailers as although this was perfect for my lifestyle it might not suit everyones! (and i always advise to check the size of your car boot before buying and travel system!)
