Vintage High Chair Restoration?
My husband and I have aquired a vintage high chair from my mother in law. It is solid wood and coverts into a toddler desk and char. It was hers when she was a baby and about 6 years ago the wood was refinished. We would like to use it for our 4 month old son when he can sit up but it needs some new hardware and a safety belt. Does anyone know of a place that sells this type of hardware? Thank you.

I would suggest that you take it to a carpenter that specializes in antique furniture restoration. It's very doubtful that you will find exactly the same hardware ~ but a pro will know what can be substituted.
As far as a safety belt ~ back in the old days, they didn't have safety belts and you will have to devise your own. What we did with our antique highchair was to install a "snap in" type of belt that snapped in beneath the tray, and the seat of the chair. This prevented our children from sliding out, which is really the primary concern.
