Carseats and child safety...?
Can someone please explain to me why some parents refuse to keep their children safe and put them in car seats, why do they allow their small kids to ride up front in a car that has airbags and not in a Seat Belt, why do they allow their kids to play in the back seat with out being buckled in? This is one of those thing that really upset me..when I see a young child either sitting in the front seat ( I know in KC a child has to be 13 to sit up front) or not have their kids buckle up. Is it just me that this bothers?
This bothers me tremendously! The only exception I have ever made for either of my children was a rush trip to the emergency room with my sons mouth and face swollen and vomiting. I was too frightened to take the time to buckle him or to have him out of my arms. (The hospital is less than a mile from me and EMS five miles-it was quicker to just get him there than to have waited)
