New monitor has a small bar of color along the side?
I just bought this monitor but along the right side of the screen there is a very small strand/line of color. It is being plugged into my laptop has a second screen. And it didn't do it once I plugged it in.
Is this something wrong with the monitor or the VGA connection to my laptop?
unplug the 2nd monitor first. start laptop and uninstall the video card driver. make sure that you have the latest driver downloaded from manufacturing website. dont install the driver from cd. it is never the latest. anyway, shut down laptop and plug the new screen. start laptop. at first u wont see anything in the new screen. install the driver and restart laptop. once u r in windows, right click on desktop and click properties. now go to settings tab. click the 2nd monitor icon marked with 2. check the box with "extend the windows desktop onto this monitor". click ok. u can also do in video card control panel in windows control panel.
