Any suggestions to keep him safe?
My 3 year old son has a major problem of sneaking out of his room in the earliest of mornings and in the middle of the night. When I first moved into this house we put the Child-Proof door knob covers on the inside of his room to keep him from getting out. He has since figured out how to remove them and turn them to get out and is getting out in the middle of the night and raiding my fridge and messing with things in my kitchen. I have also tried the gates for kids and those are useless because he is too smart. Has anyone been in this situation before and what have yall done. We do not own the house, so I can not modify to extremely. My thought were to lock the door at night (ie: key) just to keep him safe in his room at night. Can yall please give me your thoughts so that I can figure something out. Thank you from a worried mom!!
They have alarms for like $5-$10 that you put one side on the door jam, and one on the door. They are stick on. They are also magnetic, so when the magnets seperate, an alarm goes off. Ive seen them at both Sears and Bed Bath and Beyond - and you get 4 of them in a pack for the $10. You can also put them at the top of the door. We have these on our doors to outside.
