Is it possible to watch 2 independent channels on 2 satellite receivers from a twin monoblock?
I want a receiver downstairs and a receiver upstairs (technomate) connected to a Dual Focus LNB. Can i watch one sat on one receiver and the same or a different sat on the other one at the same time?
not in any worthwhile sense..
Dual focus or Dual output ?
if it has two independant outputs.. yes, not problem.
Dual focus usually means pointing in two directions..so you only get one LNB in one (useful) direction..
so for one purpose you are still sharing the same LNB
if so then it is the same signal/one LNB and:
The Sky satalite has 4 quadrants (groups of channels) of transmission.
There is signalling (22Khz Tone) to select the one needed (upper/Lower frequency Horizontal/Vertical polarisation).
So if the two channels are in the same group, you get away with it.
If not, whoever selects last, will probably get it, and the othet will get a suprise channel in the other group !
You will have to scour the net for which channels are in which group if you are really interested.
mutiple output LNB is what you need.. currently Sky ones can be got readily with 4 (2 x 2 as required for SKy+)
