How long does "The First Years Home Decor Extra Tall 'n Wide Gate" extend with the included extensions?
This is a black metal gate. It says it extends to 48" wide, but says it includes extensions for a wider opening. It doesn't specify how wide the extensions will make it. I need to fit a 64" wide opening. If you have this gate and know how wide please let me know! I need to get a gate for my new home and new baby! If you have any suggestions for other gates I would love to hear! Thanks!
We ~just~ bought this today and I had the same question. 48" is the width it fits with all of the included extensions attached.. The extensions are designed so that you could add bunches of them, but perhaps with the Pressure Mount that would not be advisable. Your best bet would be to contact the manufacturer to determine before you buy. The contact info listed on the instruction manual is as follows:

For what it's worth, this item is every bit as attractive as in the pictures, and seems well-built. My dog will run her own tests on it and get back to you.
If you are specifically looking at tall gates, the KidCo G16 pet gate is a whopping 42" tall and is advertised as accepting enough extensions to take it to 73.5" More of that plain white, functional, look but is similarly well reviewed.
