When should you put an infant into there own crib after birth?
My wife and I had our first son on June 10th. We have let him sleep in a bassinette next to our bed every since. We have a monitor for his bedroom. Now he seems to cry everytime we are not holding him or paying all of our attention to him. I am thinking we may be spoiling him. What do you think...
You can't spoil a baby....but anyways. Bassinets are good for up to 3 months then you need to switch to a crib because they are usually bigger than the weight max for a bassinet. Really it is up to you though. Some put baby in the crib right away, some use a bassinet for awhile or even a co-sleeper. You have to find what is best for you. Babies will cry though and up until around 6 months they may need frequent feedings and diaper changes so that keeps you busy every 2 hrs or so. THey are babies though they need attention and love. They become independent by the time they are about 12-18 months old then you will miss them wanting attention.
