I want a small pet which do you suggest?
A turtle their easy to take care of. No fuss no muss. What about a nice little guinea pig? Cute, furry, stays in a nice cage. Maybe even a hamster their nice, easy, and if trained can become a real cuddlier lol. What do you think? I had a pet rabbit once and I loved him dearly but I'm thinking of trying a different pet thats small and can stay in my room which I wont have to clean up to much after words. I'm seriously considering this. I'm nice, kind and I love to spoil my pet and even give in a little kiss every once again. Any suggestions?
It depends on how much time you'll give your small pet. Even if small pets don't seem to need much maintenance, they still need attention from their owner.
Guinea pigs: A guinea pig is often thought of as a good pet for children, and this is true, but as with all pets, parents must make certain the child is old enough to be gentle with the animal and mature enough to care for it properly. A guinea pig is a sociable animal and needs a home where it will receive attention and affection. Being left in a cage and ignored is a harsh life for the guinea pig. They are affectionate animals that love to be held, and owners should be prepared for this. A prospective owner should get a good book on guinea pig care and read it carefully. A guinea pig’s needs are not elaborate, but include a roomy cage, safe bedding, a ceramic food bowl, a water bottle with a sipper spout, guinea pig pellets and timothy hay. These are the basics. Some people put a little plastic or wooden shelter inside the cage, but this is not recommended for the first week or so at home. The guinea pig may retreat inside the shelter and refuse to come out, except to eat. A shelter should only be added after the guinea pig has become accustomed to its environment. Guinea pigs are packed with personality and friendliness. They rarely bite and are sociable, likable little animals. As such, they make excellent pets.
Turtles: Turtles are a wonderful animal to keep as pets. Though they aren't cuddly, and won't play fetch, they are still cute and great pets. If you are thinking about getting a turtle for a pet, it's important to get all of the facts before you're in over your head. The first thing that I suggest you do before buying a turtle is to buy a book about keeping turtles as pets, and then decide from there what type of turtle plus what food they eat and how they live. It will also have tips for when turtles get sick. Another thing to consider is that there are many laws and regulations on the transportation and housing of certain speicies of turtle. Be sure not to purchase turtles that are among these regulated turtles. Most pet stores won't sell these turtles, but it's important to check out the species you buy before buying a turtle. Once you've decided the turtle you want to get, you should find where he lives in the wild, so you can build a happy home most closely related so he can be as happy as possible. Aquatic turtles require a tank or aquarium, the kind for fish work great. If possible, buy a large one so that your turtle can grow and still have lots of room to swim. But, It's important to give turtles a bit of land to rest on.
Hamster: These furry little creatures are very popular pets. They are hardy, easy to care for and very entertaining. Hamsters can be kept in relatively small quarters and are good pets for children with limited budgets. They are clean, noiseless and their cage requires little maintenance. During vacation, they can be left for several days without requiring care. Some bad things about them is that some hamsters tend to bite and some owners have to deal with their hamster's cage smelling.
From 3 of these suggestions from your answer, you could get a guinea pig as a small pet if you have a lot of time on your hand, but still have things that roam your mind. A turtle or a hamster would be good as a small pet if you have WAY TOO MUCH things on your mind, and you just don't have time. The easiest pet from these choices would be a turtle, though.
