How to make or buy a wireless remote to control electrical flow to a fan.?
I know it wont really be seen why but i have my reasons. I need to know how to make or buy a wireless remote i can program to a chip or something to control the flow of electricity to a fan wired to a 9 volt battery. Im aware i can use resistors to limit the electricity so lets say i have 3 different setting hooked up using 3 different resistors.I need to be able to use a wireless remote to switch from off to the 3 settings and back. doesn't need to be fancy. just need to be able to do it. thanks.
Two approaches here. One is to use an infra-red control kit like a TV remote control as from this website

Alternatively, you could go the model radio control route and use a 27 MHz transmitter and receiver with the motor driver. Some of the transmitter controls will be superfluous, but the throttle control will drive your 9 V fan nicely. An aircraft system will be better than a car system, as the car system can drive the fan backwards. Talk to your local model shop.
